The staff at North Concho Veterinary Clinic
Dr. John E. Russell, D.V.M.
Dr. Russell was born and raised in Grady, Arkansas. He attended Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas receiving his B.S. in Biology. Dr. Russell attended veterinary school at Oklahoma State University and was a member of the Student Chapters of the Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society and served as an Ambassador for the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Russell received his D.V.M. in May 1999 and Texas rescued him shortly afterwards to never have to reside in Oklahoma again.
Dr. Russell has extensive knowledge about the newest procedures and techniques that ensures your pet receives the safest and most technologically advanced treatments in San Angelo.
Dr. Russell's wife, Dr. Connie Russell, is a Biology professor at ASU, and they have three children, Amber, Josh, and Darren.
The Russells also have a small zoo of animals including, his dogs Lucy, Sabrina, and Rusty; his cats Stinker and Gypsy; his horse Maggie; his birds Clancy, Charlie, and Dena; and two barbardos.
Lisa Corigan
A San Angelo native, Lisa is an experienced technician and receptionist that has worked in clinics for the past nine years, and has bettered North Concho clinic for the last six years.
Her main goal is to stay at North Concho to help clients understand their pets needs and educate new pet owners about the precautions and procedures needed to keep their pets happy and healthy. Lisa organizes client education, appointments, surgeries, and nutrition with outstanding performance and compassion.
While not chasing her adorable clan of three children, she loves to attend their many sports related activities. She is a proud pet mama of horse Honey and five cats: Skittles, Sassy, Shaggy, Taz & Jinxie. When Lisa isn't tied up with previous engagements, she is pleased to serve as Vice President of Purrs and Puppy Breath Nursery, a non-profit organization to help orphaned puppies and kittens find good loving homes. A hopeless romantic, Lisa enjoys watching love stories and her favorite TV series, E.R. So come on in and say hi to the friendliest face in town.
Amber Lloyd
Amber graduated from Lake View high school here in San Angelo, and is currently attending Angelo State University majoring in Biology. Amber plans to attend medical school upon graduation.
Amber is an integral part of our out-patient team and can always be found with a smile on her face and an encouraging word for the patients.
Amber enjoys reading, watching horror movies, and playing basketball.
Amber's pomeranian puppy, Koga, is busy training his new family. Koga may have to take Amber to obedience school to accomplish this feat. The newest addition to the family is Pippin - a daschund mix puppy.
Mollie Challender
Mollie is a new addition to our staff, and recently moved here from California. A true animal lover, Mollie is always happy to help a pet or owner in need. She is an important part of making animals comfortable while under our care, including duties on the surgical team, administering medications, and playing with animals during their stay. Her kitties Brat, Pockets, and Flash fill out her human family.
Mollie plans to continue a career in veterinary medicine by attending vet school in the future. In her free time, Mollie enjoys volleyball, bowling, swimming, and church group activities.
Roscoe
Roscoe became part of our family this summer. He is an integral part of our front counter staff. He will always greet you with a warm smile and a slobbery kiss.
In his spare time Roscoe enjoys sleeping, digging in the trash, and receiving treats from our generous staff and clients.
